A Destination Wedding Weekend on the Lido di Venezia
Rachel and Emmanuel’s wedding unfolded as a two-day celebration on the Lido di Venezia - a refined blend of architecture, culture, Jewish tradition, and effortless Italian summer atmosphere. From a spirited welcome event at the beach to a grand ceremony overlooking the Adriatic, the entire weekend embodied the couple’s vision of joy, connection, and editorial elegance.
A DREAM BROUGHT
TO LIFE
The festivities opened at Les Bains Beach Club, a beloved seaside institution on the Lido known for its relaxed atmosphere, soft evening light, and uninterrupted views of the Adriatic. Guests gathered beneath open canopies, surrounded by the sound of waves and the warm hues of an Italian summer sunset.
What began as a casual welcome evening quickly evolved into a lively celebration. Friends and family mingled barefoot in the sand, groups formed spontaneously around music, and the energy became a preview of everything this wedding would later hold. The bride and groom moved through the crowd with ease , laughing, embracing, and setting the tone for a weekend defined by togetherness and joy.
This opening event not only brought guests into the spirit of the celebration, but also anchored the weekend in the natural beauty of the Lido: oleander in full bloom, pastel skies, and the relaxed rhythm of seaside life. It was the perfect prologue to a wedding of extraordinary emotions.
The Wedding Day – Palazzo del Casinò, Lido di Venezia
The main celebration took place at the historic Palazzo del Casinò, one of the most architecturally significant venues on the Lido and the long-standing home of the Venice Film Festival called Biennale. Constructed in the 1930s, the Palazzo is an emblem of Venetian rationalist and proto-brutalist design, with a striking stone façade and interiors defined by marble, sculptural lines, and dramatic scale. Few venues in Italy combine architectural modernism with such cinematic presence.
Rachel began her day at the nearby Hotel Excelsior, surrounded by the refined calm of its historic interiors. The atmosphere was composed and elegant. A quiet moment of anticipation before the intensity and joy of the celebration ahead.
The ceremony took place outdoors on the Palazzo’s terrace, framed by sea views and the soft movement of the coastal breeze. Rachel and Emmanuel incorporated elements of their Jewish heritage, creating a deeply emotional and meaningful exchange under the open sky.
Inside, the reception was shaped by Yamyam Event Production, who oversaw the full planning and creative direction of the wedding. Their vision brought cohesion and contemporary refinement to the Palazzo’s striking architectural language. Dolls Blumen crafted all floral and décor elements, including the sculptural Chuppa design, introducing color, texture, and movement that created a sophisticated dialogue with the marble surfaces and the hall’s monumental proportions.
As the evening unfolded, the wedding transformed into a celebration of extraordinary intensity. Live musicians, traditional Jewish dances, and an exuberant crowd created an atmosphere that was both electric and intimate. Guests lifted the couple, circled the dance floor, and celebrated with a level of joy that animated every corner of the ballroom.
A show-stopping Millefoglie wedding cake, assembled live in front of the guests, marked one of the night’s highlights that combined Italian tradition, sensory theatre, and shared delight.
Photographing Rachel and Emmanuel’s wedding was a privilege. A weekend shaped by architecture, culture, and emotion, brought to life on one of Italy’s most iconic stretches of coastline.
