An Elegant Wedding at
Il Borro, Tuscany

Some places leave a lasting impression long before the wedding day begins. Il Borro is one of them.

Nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany, this beautifully restored medieval village is one of Italy's most iconic wedding destinations. Owned by the Ferragamo family, Il Borro effortlessly combines timeless Italian charm with understated luxury. From its historic stone buildings and picturesque piazzas to the surrounding vineyards and olive groves, every corner feels as though it was made to host unforgettable celebrations. It was the perfect setting for Micah and Stefan.

The couple, who live in Los Angeles, envisioned a wedding weekend that felt elegant without ever becoming formal. Beautifully designed, intentionally curated, yet relaxed enough for every guest to simply enjoy being together.

Micah Schifman, a celebrity personal stylist based in Los Angeles, naturally has an incredible eye for aesthetics. Yet what stood out most throughout the weekend was not the impeccable style, but the warmth, generosity and genuine joy they shared with everyone around them. Every decision reflected who they are as a couple, creating an atmosphere that felt sophisticated, welcoming and deeply personal.

The celebrations began with a welcome dinner at Aie del Borro, where one incredibly long table brought all 220 guests together for an unforgettable pizza night under the Tuscan sky. It was the perfect way to start the weekend. Guests shared stories, raised countless glasses of Italian wine, and settled into the relaxed rhythm that makes destination weddings in Tuscany feel so special.

WEDDING DAY

The following day, everyone gathered in the heart of Il Borro for the ceremony. Set beside the estate's beautiful fountain, Micah and Stefan exchanged their vows beneath a stunning chuppah surrounded by their closest family and friends. The ceremony beautifully honored Jewish tradition while embracing the effortless elegance that defined the entire weekend. Every detail felt intentional without ever feeling overdone.

The floral design by La Rosa Canina Firenze complemented the natural beauty of Il Borro with timeless arrangements that blended seamlessly into the surroundings. The tailored suits by Laura Basci completed the sophisticated look of the day. Behind it all was the incredible Chiara Sernesi and her team of Weddings in Tuscany, whose thoughtful planning allowed every moment to unfold effortlessly. Coordinating a wedding of this scale while maintaining such a relaxed atmosphere is no small achievement, and every part of the weekend reflected her remarkable attention to detail. As a destination wedding photographer, I love documenting these celebrations most.

Not because of the spectacular venues or beautiful design, although Il Borro certainly offers both, but because of the people behind them. Weddings like Micah and Stefan's remind me that the most meaningful photographs are created when couples feel completely present, surrounded by the people they love most. Their wedding weekend was stylish, emotional, and wonderfully relaxed. A celebration where every beautiful detail supported what truly mattered: connection, family, friendship and the beginning of a new chapter together.

If you're planning a luxury destination wedding in Tuscany and are looking for a venue that combines history, elegance and authentic Italian charm, Il Borro is truly one of the most extraordinary places to celebrate your wedding.
