There’s something incredibly special about returning to your roots to celebrate love. For Olivia and Kevin, both living in the United States but with deep Irish ancestry, Dublin was more than just a destination — it was a homecoming. Their engagement had already taken place here, so it felt only natural to say I do in the city that held so much meaning for them.
On a crisp autumn day, when the leaves of St. Stephen’s Green glowed in shades of gold and crimson, The Shelbourne Hotel became the heart of their celebration. With its elegant Georgian architecture and timeless charm, this iconic Dublin landmark offered the perfect backdrop for a wedding that beautifully blended classic romance with modern sophistication.
The day began with a quiet first look inside The Shelbourne, a moment filled with emotion and anticipation before the city’s energy took over. Afterwards, Olivia and Kevin headed to the cliffs of Howth for their wedding portraits — dramatic sea views, wild winds, and that unmistakable Irish light made for a breathtaking contrast to the refined elegance of the hotel.
Back at The Shelbourne, guests gathered for the ceremony, surrounded by rich autumn colors and lush magenta florals by The Studio Florist. The combination of deep pink tones and seasonal textures created a warm, romantic atmosphere that perfectly reflected the couple’s personalities.
Olivia looked radiant in her Vivienne Westwood galaxy cape gown, a structured dress that was both timeless and modern — effortlessly paired with elegant Christian Louboutin heels. Her bridal look was completed by Keira Smyths’ natural and luminous hair and makeup artistry.
A true artist herself, Olivia designed all of the wedding stationery by hand. As a painter and designer, she infused every detail with personal meaning — delicate brushstrokes, bespoke lettering, and a color palette that echoed the magenta blooms of the day.
The celebration was flawlessly planned and orchestrated by Lena Freitag Weddings and her helping hand Evergreen by Kellie, who turned the couple’s vision into an unforgettable experience. The reception space glowed with soft draping, romantic candlelight, and beautifully layered linens by Frog Prince Weddings.
Guests were treated to a stunning cake by Cupcakes and Counting, and later danced the night away to music by The Moogs. A surprise performance by Celtic Rhythm Entertainment — traditional Irish dancers — brought everyone to their feet, celebrating the couple’s heritage in the most joyful way.
