For the rest of my life Annas and Michis wedding will own a very special place of my heart. It was the first big wedding that I was allowed to attend – but that´s not the only reason I will always remember it. Besides we got to know each other better and better during their wedding preparations and became close friends.
On a birthday party of a mutual friend Anna asked me if I wanted to shoot at her wedding. She liked my photos and believed in me although I had no wedding pictures on my homepage yet. Her reliance and her faith in me made me unbelievably proud and I couldn´t wait for this certain Saturday in August to shoot their wedding.
Michis parents got married at the Kahlenberg, high above the rooftops of Vienna many years ago. That´s why he and Anna chose this special location, too, to celebrate their big day with friends and families there. Their ceremony was filled with love and the sounds of the 50s and 60´s. Anna and her dad entered the church to Nat King Cole´s L-O-V-E and during the entire mass Jengis performed Frank Sinatra songs. I´ve hardly ever seen such a modern and personal church-wedding like this.
Anna looked amazing in her gorgeous dress designed by Jenny Packham – just like the women in those black-and-white movies from the 60´s… She and Michi smiled happily all day long – not even the constant rain could affect their big day. We celebrated and danced throughout the night and fell happily but tired into our beds. I can not imagine a better start into my career as a wedding photographer than this…
Dear Anna and Michi, thank you so much for trusting me and for letting me capture your unique wedding !
