Springtime in Vienna probably is the most beautiful time for an engagement shoot. There are blooming trees everywhere, everything´s lushly green and the weather is enjoyably warm. I couldn´t wait for spring to return to my hometown. After all the grey and drab winter involves it´s a pleasure for my soul and temper when the city shines with peachiest colors. People flock outside their apartments and houses to spend their days outside. From now on life happens outside again.
I could hardly wait to meet my bridal couples at different places in Vienna for their Spring engagement in Vienna. Cathi and Robert made a start. Both actually live in Brussels but come to their hometown for a couple of days every year. So we used one of their calls for an engagement shoot. We started at the history charged “Strudlhofstiege” among Viennas 9th district. This stairway from 1910 is an architectonic master piece and is the perfect backdrop for a shoot like this.
Although the two have never been photographed by a professional photographer before they acted very relaxed and naturally. It was so much fun spending the afternoon together and I can´t wait to shoot at their wedding later this year at Schloss Obermayerhofen in Styria.
After some gorgeous pictures at the “Strudlhofstiege” we continued to the French institute where we found this amazingly pink blooming tree in the garden. This is where we let our afternoon fade away before Cathi and Robert – in accordance with tradition – rewarded themselves with a piece of home at one of Vienna´s many wurst stands.
Now come with me to enjoy Vienna´s spring and Cathi and Robert´s pictures together.
