The wedding season is still in full swing and I’m experiencing one great party after the other. One week ago I attended the wedding of these two at the Grafenegg Castle and as I strolled through its well-kept park I remembered one of my favorite 2017 weddings which I still haven´t shown you yet.
Back in 2016, I met Anna and Jürgen for the first time in Vienna for coffee to talk about their wedding. From the first moment I felt totally connected with them and I was really happy when they booked me for their wedding which was planned for the following year.
Anna is a passionate furniture conservator and has set up an extra room in her own house where you can buy her beautifully restored vintage pieces. I couldn´t help but notice her unmistakable sense for both details and beauty and so it was clear to me from the beginning that their wedding was going to be something very special.
I could hardly wait for their Summer Garden Wedding at Grafenegg Castle and when I received the simple-elegant invitation, my anticipation grew even more.
Anna and Jürgen got married in the beautiful Grafenegg Castle. They chose to have their ceremony in the gorgeous garden pavilion and a subsequent reception with all their guests in the Castle gardens. In addition to fresh lemonade and delicious rolls, there was a real candy car with all imaginable delicacies from which not only the children were magically attracted. While the adults chatted, the kids played with a homemade Jenga kit and romped through the garden.
For some couple photos, we then cut ourselves a bit off from the party and took advantage of the ancient, gnarly trees as a spectacular backdrop for unique pictures. After Anna and Jürgen cut the cake they headed with all their guests to the nearby Country Club Atzenbrugg, where the subsequent dinner took place.
All in all it was a great party, because even the fact that the sun hid behind grey clouds most of the time, could not stop the bridal couple and their guests from partying all day and all night long. And if any of you wonder what happened to the self-made candy car – it’s been turned into a baby´s changing table because the two are expecting their first child very soon.
