An abstract of Shakespears „A Midsummer Night´s Dream“ inspired me to this shooting which surpassed all the limits of my imagination. Every time I look at the pictures my heart still skips a beat.

This rocky, rough locaiton was the perfect scenery, the ideal pendant to the beauty and softness of our beautiful bride. Judith looked just stunning in her dresses designed by Jenny Packham. My idea was to create an antipole to the glamorous dresses from the British designer for wedding gowns. I seeked for a background that nobody would expect. That´s what made this inspiration shooting so special and exciting for me.

It was the first shooting that I shot almost exclusively with my analoge camera. I can hardly believe it… Whenever I see the deep colors and soft skin tones it feels right that I chose the way of analoge photography. Without my dear friend and best mentor Pia I would have never chosen this as my path. She trained my sight on things and teached me to focus on important details.

Here I want to show you some of my absolute favourites. But if you want to find out more about this story just visit Susanne Schuhmanns Hochzeitsguide!

Love,
Melanie

So we grew together,
Like to a double cherry, semming parted,
But yet an union in partition;
Two lovely berries moulded on one stem;
So, wtih two seeming bodies, but one heart.
