If you’re booked by a talented wedding photographer and a pretty and well-known blogger for their wedding, you’re inevitably nervous. Although I feel a pleasant, nervous anticipation before every wedding, when I met the two for their sunset engagement session in the vineyards of Vienna, I was more than just a little nervous. We chose Vienna´s inner-city, the Volksgarden as a matter of fact, as location for our easygoing engagement picnic session. Equipped with a cute picnic-basket full of fresh fruits, cheese and sparkling wine the two found a shady place under a huge oak to let this unbent afternoon slowly fade away. Now enjoy looking through this relaxed afternoon engagement picnic in Vienna.

a snowy engagement at the Dobratsch by Melanie Nedelko fine art wedding photohrapher from Vienna , Austria

A snowy engagement at the Dobratsch was a really big wish of mine which Manuela and Martin made come true. If you will the Dobratsch is Villach´s local mountain, one of the smaller towns of my home Carinthia. When I was a little kid I went skiing there and when I was a teenager I spent hours walking with my mother through the mountain´s forests. I have lots of wonderful memories of this place. And now there´s one more: I was honored to capture this likable and gorgeous couple´s engagement pictures there.
