If I had to choose an adjective for Patricia and Bernhard’s wedding, then it would be fairytale-like.
They celebrated their festival of love in May this year with all their friends and families in the castle Obermayerhofen. There was a golden thread running through this entire day from decoration to flowers and stationery. In every single moment you were able to see with how much attention to detail this day was prepared by the two.
Patricia was an incredibly beautiful and elegant bride and radiated from within. The relaxed getting ready took place in one of the most beautiful suites of the castle and it was impossible for me to stop languishing during taking all the pictures.
As stylish as she is in everyday life, she chose a classic dress from Pronovias combined with a sheer lace jacket. Hair and make-up by Adriana perfectly completed her elegant look.
One floor below and joint by his groomsmen, Bernhard slipped into a classic cut, which was later replaced by a tuxedo.
In the nearby, impressive Pöllau Abbey, the two had a moving service and memorable ceremony before God. This beautiful, emotional part of the day was held by Toni Faber, the well-known cathedral minister to St. Stephen.
Afterwards all the guests drove back to the castle Obermayerhofen in a convoy, where after warm embraces and congratulations to the bridal couple the wedding cake was cut in the garden of the castle.
For a Pentecost weekend the weather could not have been more beautiful. Except for a brief rain just before the church wedding, the sun was shining all day long. So all the guests could celebrate Patricia and Bernhard´s love for each other in the castle garden.
During this season, there´s a huge rhododendron bush blooming behind the castle which was an incredible backdrop for some couple photos. For me as a wedding photographer the scenery could not have been more perfect. The whole day I was grinning from ear to ear and could not stop because I was so happy.
In the evening, the party let balloons with good wishes for the bride and groom rise to heaven, before everyone headed to the festively decorated hall of the castle Obermayerhofen with their welcome drinks in their hands.
Just before dinner, I briefly grabbed the newlywed couple for a few more shots in another area of the castle garden (this time they were dressed with a tuxedo and party outfit) before they entered the butterfly hall under thunderous applause.
The evening was filled with touching speeches from groom and both fathers, where even I shed one or two tears of joy. Among an atmospheric ambience, the guests enjoyed their 4-course menu and then joint Patricia and Bernhard in the party area to honor their first dance as a married couple.
It was a magical day that will be remembered forever and I am very happy and thankful that they allowed me to show some impressions of their fairytale-like at Obermayerhofen castle here.
Dear Patricia, dear Bernhard, thank for trusting me and believing in my work. I wish you all the best for your common future. <3
