elegant & timeless winter wedding inspiration in shades of grey
While this year’s winter is slowly fading out (hopefully – spring, where are you?), I’m happy to show you an elegant & timeless winter wedding inspiration in shades of grey for the next winter to come. Last year I got together with Jana from FINE MOMENTS for our first collaboration. We wanted to create an inspiration for everyone planning a winter wedding proving that wedding does not always have to mean “blush & creamy” and that “shades of grey” can also be part of weddings – as a color scheme of course. Husky grey and blue as main colors combined with different grey shades and nuances of blue are a pleasant change in the wedding industry.
With these colors Isabella from Isabella Floristik created stunning floral decorations with beautiful winter flowers as anemones – one of my secret favorites when it comes to bridal bouquets. To add a fresh & light touch to the cooler and darker color scheme it was important to have a few fine contrast points as for example the fresh greenery in the florals or the bright and light-flooded rooms with high ceilings. A location such as the Orangerie Eisenstadt therefore makes the perfect fit of a location for an elegant winter wedding.
Speaking of the perfect fit: our bride Jasmin looked absolutely stunning in the long-sleeved dress – perfect for winter – with delicate lacey details and a breath taking low cut in the back and with the beautiful yet natural bridal hair & make-up by Claudia of GILBIRD. Jasmin and our groom Hubert looked like one happy couple for the day…
And I’m happy that for this shoot we also had a couple of fine details that were a bit different for a change. As for example the Earl Grey tea and macarons (by macaroom) Give-Aways. Or this one-of a kind wedding cake by Andrea from Das Tortenstudio, better known as “the master of exceptional wedding cakes”. She not only used the beautiful, fine calligraphy by my favourite calligrapher Claudia from Eliv Rosenkranz on her masterpiece of a cake, but also drew the floral pattern of the handmade crockery by Marianne Seiz.
Besides the great tableware and florals, beautiful old decoration rentals by Wedding Bazaar Vienna completed the table setting with great vintage furniture by Rotfuchs. On top of that, wedding classics like elegant Jimmy Choo bridal shoes and a lovely engagement ring by Rosa Marlene are always nice eye catchers.
It’s been an honor, that our shoot already got published by the end of last year in VOW magazine – the unique fine art print magazine by Hochzeitsguide and as of this week is also featured on the blog. For more inspiration, click here: LINK
Speaking of “click” – last year when I got to know the lovely Jana, aka FINE MOMENTS, things just clicked right away between us and I really love working with that creative lady – you’ll see more of other editorial shoots, weddings and various other project ideas we are working on right now here on my blog in the future…
A big thank you to the great team of vendors, who came from near and far to do this shoot with us – it was a lot of fun working alongside you to create this elegant & timeless winter wedding inspiration together.
